I have a 2 barrel 500 holley that under part throttle bogs out until I hit the gas pedal further down and then I tpicks up ,but almost everytime I shift into 2nd gear it bogs out and its nerve racking when you are in heavy traffic I need some holley guys to help me outthanks
Assuming a stock 302 engine a 500 2bbl is too much carb, those mostly were designed for stockish roundy round racing classes that require a 2bbl carb... Yeah someone is gonna say I ran one on such and such, they can work but tune needs to be spot on... Sounds like float is too low or maybe pump shot is too lean, possibly need to play with squirters, and/or pump cam... There are good videos on youtube about tuning ...
