RPM Guage locations

    I'm quite sure this has been discussed before.I was hoping to get some ideas and hopefully pics on some of the locations people have choosen.Has any one mounted one on the consollete(sp).My car is in the shop and I'm having trouble thinking about places to mount an rpm guage.Hope everyone had a nice holiday.Thanx

    Before switching to an integrated tachometer in the cluster, I had a small Autometer tachometer with a shift light. It mounted with a simple fabricated bracket into the ashtray cavity, using the existing screw hole. You could still open & close the ashtray and I ran the wiring throught the cigar lighter hole with a rubber grommet.

    '72 Maverick, 347 c.i., w/ dual quads, TKO 600 5-speed transmission, back halved w/ 4-link, '16 F150, 5.0 Coyotte, regular cab, shortbed, lowered 3/5 & 1-owner '79 Trans Am.
    Mine is kinda like jmgford's. A friend fabricated it out of aluminum from my pattern. The ashtray still opens.
