Don't know, thought i'd ask the experts here. I thought I would get $4-5K. I am a Mopar man and if this car was a Dart in the same condition, it would easily command $4-5k or more! IDK but $1-2k is out of the question for the car. I understand it's only worth what someone will pay, this is hardly my first rodeo.
I thought about that when I got my car, mopars and chevys in the same condition go for a lot more money ,your car needs some mechanical work , paint job?, I guess it depends on what someone wants to do with it and how much they want to spend on it after buying it.
If it's original paint, and solid, 3-4000 grand, with a little work, it's a running driving car. I payed 2 grand for my green 73 in 2006, one owner Califorina car.
This is not the place to sell a car, even if it is a Maverick. People will nick pick the hell out of it, and nickel and dime you. Put it on EBay, people sell cars for good money there, when they don't even get an offer here.
Yeah I have sold and bought a vehicle on ebay. When I am ready to sell, ebay and this Forum will be just 2 of the places I will list it, thanks
That is a nice clean looking 70 Maverick, It looks a lot cleaner than I thought it would. Dave is right about listing it on Ebay. You will get a lot more exposure through Ebay than any other type of listing that I know of. I listed mine on here and got a few people who were interested but never followed through with anything. I finally listed it on Ebay and got quite a few bids, but they did not reach my reserve price. After bidding ended I had several people call and make offers, but still none reaching my bottom line price, then one day about a week after it ended a guy from Florida called and made an offer that allowed me to break even on what I had in the car and parts. I agreed to sell it to him, then the next day another guy contacted me about it, I told him I had just reached an agreement with a guy and he tried to up the offer by $1000 to get me to sell it to him and drop the other guy. I don't operate like that so I declined and followed through with my original deal I had made. It will all come down to timing and you having patience about the sell. Patience being one of the key factors, if you are willing to sit on it possibly for awhile you should be able to find someone who is willing to pay what you seem to be looking to get out of the car. I had lost patience on selling my car, and if I had been a little more patient I could have gotten more for it. Your car is a lot nicer looking than I anticipated or pictured in my mind from your brief description earlier. If it is a running and driveable car will help things a lot also. I think you might be able to get $3,000 to $3500 for it maybe a little more. Good luck with your sell
