I am considering adding the stainless door and quarter trim (below the side windows) from this 73 Maverick to my 71 Maverick Grabber Clone. Opinions on how you think it will look anyone?

My Maverick has it and I hate it. I'd suggest not doing it.
A little chrome really sets things off nicely. Too much chrome looks terrible.

I am not a big fan of it either, I like clean sides with nothing to trap dirt and more to keep polished. If it was a factory LDO car and going for concourse stock then I guess you would have to have it

I too thought this chrome trim was a little too much for these cars so I deleted it before paint. I did add chrome wheel well trim later on down the road.

I am exactly the opposite. I added the trim. I like the way it wraps around the glass, like the windshield trim does.

I'm kinda neutral but since my car has it and was just painted prior to my buying it, will defiantly stay...

If the car is a lighter color, painting the strip black between quarter windows and trim would likely improve looks...

I ditched the LDO trim also...:yup:
when I pulled it there was rust around each mounting hole, couldn't see it for the trim.

Thinkin that your final paint choice will let you know if it will that trim will work or not...

One is wider than the other, the skinnier one had black paint between the edge of the trim piece and the window, (i dont remember what side it was) im just wondering if thats how it came from the factory.

They should be the same from side to side. It might have came from the factory that way if the factory made a mistake. Hey....it happens.

When i painted mine i put it back on, i also like the way it raps around the windows. but i did remove the trim that ran down the side and the chrome kick plates under the door
