yo ya'll, i was looking for shocks for the rear of "my" '73 grabber and this is what i found. the shocks for a...2dr ...69.5...170...no air...3 speed..is the same as a.. ...4dr....'76...302...air...p/w steering...p/w brakes..auto. trany...big bumper...large gas tank...car. . could a few of ya'll give me some shock names and #s? i want a "heavy duty" shock so i can take the air shocks off... ya'll's friend...frank...
earl, the ones i ordered were too long. i reordered the heavy duty stock and put them on. when i got them the shocks were painted white...one had a chrome sticker on it that was over another sticker... ther other one had no sticker...when i went to install them i put all the hardware on to make sure everything fit before i get under the car...the four bags of stuff came in three paper bags and one clear plastic bag... when putting all of this together i found out one shock had course thread on the bottom stud and the other one had fine thread...one bag had the nut for one and another bag had the other nut. i can not pic. the company having all these diff. bags of stuff and two diff. shocks in one place and someone trying to keep it all straight....frank...
Frank; did you use them, or take them back and reorder? I proabably would have taken them back. Seems like the company could have at least got you the same shocks, if the part# were the same. Let me know.
