3 step torque head bolts (use new ones if possible) 55 - 65 - 75 ft lbs
Coat the threads with a little water resistant sealer (permatex #2 works fine) on the 2 end bolts for the right side. Dip the other bolts threads in a little clean motor oil to lubricate them.

For the exhaust bolts, torque 13-18 ft lbs

For the rocker shaft - torque 30-35 ft lbs

Follow torque sequence in the picture .......... :tiphat:

Make sure you ck the hd before installing to determine whether or not it is warped. If it is & you don`t have it resurfaced,it will blow again.(y)

The idea is to tighten it down evenly so as not to put too much pressure onto one side or the other and warp or bend the shaft. Set the rocker shaft in place and start each bolt by hand. Snug each one up with just your fingers. Now take a wrench and turn each bolt, one after the other TWO TURNS. Do this until all bolts are firmly seated. Final torque to 30-35 ft lbs.
