Yep Sploder 5.0, a buddy was parting one that was wrecked... It runs great, has 101K mi, may find it's way in the other end of the truck, basically I bought it to have on hand...

    Is this a gt40, or a gt40p motor? If a p motor whats your plan for headers/manifolds?

28 liter defiantly has a cool factor...
Yeah it is a P motor... Whatever I do with it will likely use a different set of heads...

You have got the same heads that I do Tom. Actually the GT40P are a better head than the GT40.

True but I have alu heads on my Comet and T-Bird engines and won't fight a header issue on the truck for any reason... Unless a deal falls into my lap, prob freshen & reuse it's E7s...

May all be just a thought, as long as the 5.0 in the truck keeps running as well as it does I ain't touching it... Problem is it was run almost dry of oil before I got it(had less than a qt in the pan), rumbles a bit on startup but otherwise runs great...
