I recently purchased a 1973 Mercury Comet with a 302. I also joined he forum today. I am working on restoring it and need a windshield for the car. I'm looking for anyone who may have one for sale. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    :Welcome: to the forum.

What you need to do is post a wanted ad in the classifieds forum. Many guys have parts here to sell but your post here in a discussion forum will not draw much attention. If you need help let me know.

No problem. From the top of the page, select either HOME or FORUM and scroll down the list until you find the MARKETPLACE forum. In the marketplace you will see "for sale" ads and "wanted" ads. You want to select the "wanted" ads and then post a new thread there.

Here is a link to the "marketplace" if you have trouble finding it. http://www.maverick.to/mmb/#maverick-and-comet-marketplace-forums.12

    Welcome from Southern Idaho!

If you need a windshield I have found that the local glass companies will install one pretty cheap. Mine will be about $160 installed locally.

As far as other parts then many of us here will have parts for sale. I do.

:Welcome: from Atlantic Canada! As others have recommended, any reputable glass company should be able to order a windshield and install it locally. Be sure they are familiar with installing glass in older cars like ours with gaskets and the proper butyl/bedding compound for sealant. There are lots of horror stories on here regarding leaking windshields... myself included.

Thanks for all the replies and for those here who have parts for sale, I'm looking for interior pieces I know I can buy a new headliner and carpet online but everything else I haven't really had any luck finding. I will post a list in the classifieds making a list of parts I need like acornridgeman said earlier
