    Hello All
This is my first post here,I just purchased my second 64 Comet,The first one was a 64 caliente 2dr hardtop, but needed waaaay to much work,in the hunt for parts I came across a 64 cyclone that was to good to pass up,so good-bye caliente and hello cyclone,it needs to be restored but all the panels are straight and original, no engine or trans and all the trim and emblems are still on the car,I hope to learn lots and help where ever I can
    Thanks
    Steve

We'll be glad to help all we can but this sight mainly deals with the 71-77 Comet which is on the Maverick platform. But there's lots of good information that you can use in your application. I know I can speak for alot of people here, we love old Mercs and Fords. So pull up a chair and stick around.:Welcome:

Thats cool,if I did this right here is a shot of a 71 Maverick I did last year with a friend of mine,it was built sometime in the 80's I think,we went through it last winter and upgraded to a efi 5.0L and aod combo, complete suspension and brake update, all wiring was replaced with a painless harness

Yes it's been chopped 4" back widow laid down,A pillars widened to match the doors, its pretty wild looking it stands only 42" to the top of the roof, the body work was done somewhere in the St-loius area I think. It will be in an upcoming issue of Super Rod Magazine, not sure when.

How do you get a windshield made for a chopped top car?

Awesome! More pics please! Any reason you chose to chop a 4-door instead of a 2-door?

These are the only other shots I have of the car so far,I think the four door was done because it was there (really!),both the windshield and back glass are cut down stock ones, the side glass is the original and the small 1/4 windows are lexan.
