working on the 71 grabber, got new bulbs in the sockets, (which were needed) but when i turn on the turn signal, it stays solid on the dash indicator (nor does it blink). The car came with the 'sport lamps' as well, but they dont blink either. No turn signals on tailights either..

Lets get this straight, do the front & rear both light on each side but do not flash???

Correct, no lights flash front or back.

just read someone dealing with a similar situation, appears as though my hazard lights may be on or something...because the turn signal indicators light up on the dash when I press the brake. Will find out tomorrow morning.

The Sport Lamps do not flash and have nothing to do with turn signals. Have you checked the flashers? There are two... one for the turn signals and one for the hazard lights. If both turn signal indicators come on when the brake pedal is depressed, I suspect some creative splicing has occurred in the tail light harness.

Have you tried a new turn signal flasher relay?... I read the dash indicator lights up but does not flash/blink when you activate the turn signal switch.

As mentioned can be flasher problem(bad or wrong one)...

If four ways are on it should flash all four but if that flasher is bad or missing, I'm not sure how that would effect R/L operation... No doubt I've checked but been probably 40 years plus so don't remember...
