On the seat track that does not have the lever is there anything that keeps it from moving on it's own? A bracket or locking mechanism?
    Thanks, Joe

I have never seen one w/o a lever! It may have been removed? I believe the lever is part of the locking mechanics.

On the stock seat tracks buckets only locks on one rail, Bench seats had a lock on both rails with the tension wire running from one side to the other. You really can't get much movement from one side of the bucket to the other only 18" apart unlike the bench which is 5' apart.

No, the two towns are almost 2 hours drive apart. Btw ... my job takes me up that way about once a month if you need anything.

About the seats .... there is a spring that runs from the seat track to the seat frame that keeps tension on the whole assembly, too. I believe that runs from the side without a release lever to the front of the seat frame. Going by memory here....
