Okay guys so last night I started the pre fit for my 70 grabber. I'm putting in a 302 with the borg Warner 5 speed. It's in and sitting on the mounts, however the motor sits at a little bit of an angle down towards the floor. I think what is causing the issue is the welded in crossmember on the floor that the trans crossmember would bolt to. Any ideas? Would it be okay to just leave it sit that way? I know the 70 tunnels are narrower.

Don't leave it that way. I would modify the welded in bracing to get it in the correctly.
