the tranny hump mounting plate is for a stock shifter... you don't need it for an aftermarket cable shifter.

To the best of my recollection, 69.5 and 70 Mavericks never had a stock floor shifter, and they had a unique (narrower) trans tunnel. Will the 71+ shifter mounting plate fit the narrower 70 tunnel?

I have owned 3 Maverick's with 302-C4 setups. One was an early car with the narrow tunnel. The other Two were 72's. Not one had a tunnel hump. I used either a Pinto or a Mustang shifter in all of them.

Are we talking an automatic or manual trans?

I hope Relivin1970 was talking about an automatic. Otherwise excuse me.
