Hey I've seen that car before, I live right down the road from you. I thought about stopping and asking about it the other day but I was in a little of a hurry. Great looking car, the Rancheros look good too.
Thanks everybody. It still has a little bit of work to go but it shouldn't be too long now. It's defenitely not a show car, but I never wanted a show car anyways (I'd be too scared of messing it up to have any fun with it.) Yes I did paint the guages white. Stephen, next time you see me outside working on the car stop by, where do you live? The rancheros are my dads, the one without the bed cover is our old one, which we may be selling soon, the other one is probably its replacement. They both need work, but its more fun that way.
Nice Car, and Great story! A little word of advice...try to keep that car no matter what. With a history like that behind it, you would regret it if you ever got rid of it. As some of the "older" (maybe not in age as much as experience, some of it bad) guys on here will tell you, it's not always the monetary amount you put into a car that makes it valuable. The stars don't always align like they did for you, but when they do, the trick is recognizing it and making the most of it. It sounds like this is exactly what you have done, and I would encourage you to hold onto that no matter what. Good Luck on the continuation of your project, and enjoy the time with your dad! Later,
Great looking car and a great story, it is a 69 1/2 with the ignition switch in that location, makes it even more special, I like that front seat and 3 on the tree, very well done
I really like that you left the bench seat in it. I pulled mine out and set buckets in to see if I'd like it, but after looking at yours, I think I'm going to have to put mine back in. Very nice job on the car, wish my first car had turned out looking as good as yours does.
