In my search to solve "Seen this one?" by Krazy Comet, I stumbled across this. http://www.historicfilms.com/search...h+2+girls+in+ford+maverick#p1t10376i2760o2977 Start at 21:46:17 and the next commercial. Krazy Comet, you have me stumped
That site is really neat... BTW I searched the net about common facts for the company that used the Maverick in that ad, wanted to be sure not to give away info that could be easily found...
S&H Green Stamps... According to Wikipedia their catalog was the most published item in the US during the '60s, gone now...
Yes, I remember the S&H green stamps, had to stick them in a book and send them off for stuff, the glue tasted like crap. What I was asking, what is the phrase, "you're smarter than the average bear" from?
Yeah I watched those when they were new(in glorious B&W)... Other HB toons incl Incl Pixie & Dixie(with Mr Jinks), Quick Draw Mc Graw(with Bobba Louie), Huckleberry Hound and no doubt others I'm forgetting... Those HB cartoons were a breath of fresh air after watching Heckle & Jeykill(sp?), Betty Boop and Tom & Jerry(though I liked that one), etc... I think probably everyone liked the Roadrunner...
