Ok here is my issue it's a 74 comet , has the dash mounted handle , I can't remember when that changed , but I believe it went foot pedal before the end of production if I am wrong on that just laugh at me , I did a quick bit of searching , and came up with nothing , but I think I may have an uncommon issue here , as for the parking brake setup , all I have is the dash handle , and the piece of metal on the pivot on the frame rail (if you will) that all the cables tied to , it broke a cable back in the late 80's , parts were obsolete , and my dad said cut it all off , it's dragging the ground , well I took it all off alright , and now I actually am not even sure what I am missing to put it back together , I found listings for the R&L rear cables , but nothing else , if anyone has an exploded diagram of how it goes , or just say a photo of the underside of your car that shows them , it would really help me here , I do have the basic idea of how the brake works , but it not only needs to work , but be safe , so my thoughts of just coming up with something that just works can't really be applied here ...Thanks in advance for any help

I thought some did , but honestly it's been over 20 years since I have even seen another one of these cars that close , and now there are only 3 around here , 2 comet gt's , and one grabber , try doing anything like say a good tire smoking , and well your caught , being unique has it drawbacks
Talking about making me very happy if you do , what part of Virginia are you in , I am very close to Va , just a bit across the line in Tennessee ...
Virginia Beach... This is not the simple lever on the bottom like on my 71. I'll try to get some pictures before the weekend. This bolts to the driver's side on the frame/unibody support. If you look at the link above and then at the 75, You'll see the difference. I think all you have to do is drill two holes in the frame, and you can mount it. I know I have both cables that go to the rear wheels, the lever assembly, but not not the cable that from the passenger side rear cable to lever assembly.
My 73 LDO did not have a return spring at the end of the bar. The bar came to an end right after the pivot point. Instead, it has a concentric spring around the pull cable that gets compressed when the brake is set. This is on a system with a pull handle.
