My Comet GT with 302 is a Dearborn Car with a build date of 06/30/72.
    It had a black bay.

That's a week after my '72 KC build, a late one for sure....

Any chance you'd add your VIN to Paul's list?? Would like to see how it falls in place with the ones he already has...

Here's something interesting..... I stripped the paint off the front end stuff this morning and found something interesting..... Apparently the front side of the core support and top of the front aprons had a light coat of blue on the bare metal and then the black over everything.....

In these pics you can still see some blue residue(it wasn't that dark at first, I think the stripper darkened it with the black paint).....

I have found dark blue paint on lite blue cars in this area as well. I determined it was the interior color.

Interesting... Was there anything besides insides of doors that received interior color paint?? My '71 GT has that shade blue interior but windshield and door posts are black... AFAIK all it's blue parts are trim, upholstery etc...

Blue interior cars had the door posts and the area under the rear window painted blue.

Ahhh Kinda dusty back there didn't realize under window was blue...

Door posts are defiantly black but are painted over blue... Apparently painted before trim was installed...
