Still looking for the source of my vibration, and got to thinking, maybe those long tube headers are causing it? Thought about maybe making a solid mounting bracket that would attach to the collector flange and to the transmission or bellhousing some way. Your thoughts?
I dont see how they could cause that problem all they do is direct the air flow thats coming out of your engine a certain direction. you may have a rocker adjusted too tight not letting your valve open or close all the way or a bent push rod or a fouled plug? definitely not the headers
Ever see one of these electronic stethoscopes? Might be a possibility for finding the source... http://www.amazon.com/STEELMAN-9720...sim_263_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=1CGZPFYKN4G7GW5J403M
I think i will vibrate my neighbor's windows tonight they have been acting like it's a drag strip in front of my house lately
ok, I decided to tie the exhaust pipes together right after the header flanges, welded small tabs to the pipes and then bolted them together with another piece of steel. Drove the car today, and almost NO vibration, yeah!! Am thinking about bolting the headers to the transmission, that may make it even smoother.
