Hello, I've been a member here for a little while but just reading and not saying anything. I have been looking for a Maverick for a couple of years. My first car was a 76. Well, I brought home a 77 2 door comet last night. Someone already installed a Maverick small bumper front end and small rear bumper. The car has very little rust. I cant believe how little for being in PA. Car has a 200 and a c4 trans. Plans are to install a 302 and adding power brakes so I may be asking some questions about what I will need for all that.

    Beautiful car!
Are you planning to touch up the paint job, or go with a new color?

Looks pretty straight, with a bonus GT hood scoop even!

I live in Somerset county. And yes I am painting it back to its original color of yellow. Think that would look good with the black vinyl roof.

I have a complete power brake set-up, and I will be in Washington, Pennsylvania for the Maverick Nationals the last week of July if that would help. Can be really heavy to ship, but you could come and pick them up there. Email me if I can help.

Ive seen that car before listed on craigslist I believe and have always liked it the way it is but regardless of how I think it is now you definitely got a solid start for any planned changes :thumbs2:

I'll be heading down to Somerset County for a couple of days in July - might need to take a close up look at your find :tiphat:

Sounds good. Just shoot me an email to make sure I'll be around. I work swing shifts and my days off change sometimes. I'm only 1 mile off of Rt 30 so I'm pretty easy to find.
