going after a good used 5.0 HO engine from a 92 couger .I was wondering if its the same specs as the 5.0 mustang engine? checked the firing order so its for sure a roller engine my 2 main questions is does it share the same ho roller cam and flat top forged pistons

Those HO use a slightly less duration cam, AFAIK everything else in long block is same..

BTW All car 5.0 from '86-up use a roller cam, no exceptions... If it uses the std 15426378 firing order and 3/4" reach plugs it's the Lo-Po 150Hp version... Trucks used roller blocks with flat tappet cams until I believe '94 when mass air was added to them...

The 92 Cougar motor has everything the same internally compared to the Stang HO motor. The 93's had the GT40 roller cam. Pickups got roller cams starting with the 92 model year, with the base roller cam used in the Vic's. In 94 they got the F4TE cam, same as was used in the 96-2001 Explorer/Mountaineer 5.0 and the 94-97 roller 351W.

Thanks, I appreciate the correction... I remember it being '93 now...
