You guys that know my car...what could I reasonably expect to sell it for on the street?

I know I will NEVER get anywhere near what I put into it back out of it if I sold it.

But, if I put a for sale sign on it, and put it out by the street, what would be a realistic price to ask/get for it?

You all know what parts I have put into it, and I accept the fact that most people don't want to buy an ugly unpainted car.

Not really sure if I want to sell it, but I am getting too many toys, and need to thin out my toy box at some point.

You asked so I will throw out a number: $4000

It would be worth getting it painted at Maaco and the paint job would more than pay for itself.

That is exactly what the wife said this morning...

$4000 is probably a fair price.

My cousin has a friend who lives near the Lucas drag strip over here in Baytown (about 15 miles from our house). He wants something he can start drag racing and build on as he makes some money.

I told my cousin that if the right number came on the right day, I would sell it.

Today, I think $6000 would be the right number, but after a sweaty and rainy weekend where, once again, I cannot do any work on it, $4000 might be a good number on Monday morning....

I dont like this post. Somebody please delete it and ensure all other attempts to repost this are halted. In fact... Scott may need to be put on probation from posting all-together until his frame of mind changes.

Maybe you need to buy another one. Here is a nice blue one down your way. They are asking 12500

The boat is actually in really good shape, and all one color. I could EASILY get 10,000 for it.

Selling this car for a decent price would be a much bigger challenge.

Besides...here in south texas, I can use the boat for WAY more of the year than I can work on the Maverick.

The only reason we aren't out on the boat today is because the lake is overflowing from all of this rain, and it is full of floating trees, houses, and who-knows-what-else!
