how does a 69-70 mustang real valance fit? I don't want to cut any new holes into my car. I was wondering if they fit without making any major adjustments. I am planning on buying some. Thanks for the help!

No. A '68 can be made to fit with some modification.

Here is a pic of a Maverick and '68 Mustang rear valance. The Mustang valance is longer and wider. The mounting stud is also in a different location.

I never done this swap, but it looks like it would have to be sectioned to get the height right then sectioned twice to get the length correct and relocate the mounting stud. I seen photos of a 69-70 valance on a Maverick some where on this forum. Don't know what had to be done to make it happen. I did compare the 71-73 Mustang valance with a Maverick and it close to the same size except the angle on the ends where it meets the quarter panels are different.

I think he's asking how they fit on a Maverick/Comet so I believe he's in the right place.

I searched Carnuts thread because I was certain he did this to his but I was wrong, he modified a stock piece. I know someone on here used a 69-70 on their car but I'll be darned if I remember who.

I did this swap with a 69 valance. The body was the same, had to trim the edges and fabricate the mounting tabs, nobody has ever noticed.
