Well on the way to the Gathering today I came across a yellow Maverick sitting in field next a tow company so a quick pull into the driveway was in order, went in and asked about the car and sure enough it was for sale so out to the field we go pouring down rain and all no soaking stops me on a mission. As I approach the car low and behold it is a 71 Grabber, high back bucket comfort weave seats in black, comfort weave door panels in black, grabber hood with just one small dent and no lip rot, perfect rear spoiler, perfect grill with sport lamps, bumper are great as well as the valances, 200 6 that they dont know if it runs, auto on the column. no visible rust but floor boards are soaked so probably needs them. Essentially a great car with the exception of needing a front fender and no title. It turns out that it was the lady at the tow companies grandfather and he had passed away she had tried to get the title once but needed the death certificate to get it which she is going to persue for me. I coulde not give her the money fast enough
Matt dont you have enough cars, you have been teasing me with all the great stuff you have been getting lately now its payback time. This one is close to home only 350 miles
Ah Mike you still have all the best luck! Post more pictures when you bring her home! if you decide to sell, I can always find more space....
Okay heres a few,its killing me not to be able to play with it and knowing it will be couple weeks before I can, hmmm wonder if anything is in the trunk. Yeah it has trailer hitch on it and is wired for lights on trailer
No plans as of yet but I would like to put the door panels in my car and possible have the front seats recovered with comfort weave material and install them in my car as well as the rear seat. I will have take a good look at condition of floors and rest of the car before I decide its faith. Yes it is what we dream of finding and the price was really good also
Well if she goes to parts, let me know..wouldn't mind having the leftovers when your done. I have a few parts to put it back together with
