If someone out there would like to add to their collection I have some plates from Oregon(several styles) some from Washington,Idaho and Nevada for free for the taking. Just pay the shipping
Tempting. Any old collector plates? I used to keep all the ones from many of the cars I bought and flipped and owned through the years. Had a few more than 40 at one time from about 10-12 different states. My wife eventually convinced.. more like badgered.. me to quit hoarding all that "useless junk". Now that my garage is almost done being remodeled, I try to remind her as often as possible why I was keeping them after all those years. I tell her that had enough to cover one entire wall but now I have to go spend more money just to decorate that wall with things I don't even own yet. She doesn't get it and she doesn't really care to either. lol
No old collector plates. I was going to put them along the top plate in my storage shed but as many projects they are just taking up space so I thought somebody might have a collection and be missing some states. Guess I will have to make bird house roofs out of them. I once saw a map of the United States made from license plates from each state shaped like the state, pretty cool
VA didn't use stickers till 1973, prior we were issued a new plate every year... 1972 was last year for a black plate and first year for alphanumeric combo, so is unique... The black vs white plate alternated every other year...
I just applied for my counseling license in Oregon, and plan to move there soon... And I put plates on my garage for decoration, and have none from the pacific northwest... So...if nobody else has asked for them, I would take them, assuming that isn't a box of 500 weighing 90 lbs. PM me if it is just a few. I would like to take them.
Scoop I cant believe you are moving to Oregon you will love it here as you know from your visit to Washington, Oregon is about the same. Some have been spoken for but still have some left. They are yours. I can save them for you till you move or send them to you now, your choice
If anyone collects plates and plays guitar, here's a cool one on ebay... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Virgin...544bc60&pid=100033&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=121741289500
