custom made roof racks for comet/mav?

    i have a 77 comet & I ride bmx & I was wondering if anyone could make a roof rack similar to a Yakima TOP roof rack to fit a 2 door 77 comet? that would be awesome i always knock out the side lights by putting my bike in the trunk:(

    Why not have trailer hitch "receiver type", made and hang the bike off the back of car. Why lift the bike to the roof and take chance on breaking glass, denting the roof, scratching the car, etc. That is my suggestion.

    I thought you were selling the Comet? If so why go to the trouble of making a roof rack. You will have to get or make another one when you get a different car.

    i have thule racks for my maverick. should be no big deal to get a rack for dip rails that will work with mavericks.

    sounds dumb , but its "style" trailer hitch bike rack looks silly

    well, it may look silly to u, but i c many more bikes on hitches than on roofs. to each his own!
