    No.

The Comet GT didn't even have the ducktail rear spoiler like came on the early years of the Maverick Grabber.

Other than something like a '69 Cyclone Spoiler or Plymouth Superbird with 3ft high wing, I don't think any domestic vehicle had a wing in the period of time Maverick/Comet were produced...

I've installed "Maverick" spoilers and fender extensions on Three COMETS so far .. I think it improves the appearance and helps with the " chopped off" rear ends look . Ford should have offered these at the outset .. they would have sold
    very well .

    Nice!!!

So VA let you register that 1975 plate to the Comet?? I ask as everything I've seen on the DMV web site says no year of mfgr plate can be used after 1972...

Yes they did. I found the tags that are on the car on Ebay. It is a guy from VA that sells plates, they were new and still in the original sleeves. We took them to the DMV and didn't have any problems.

Interesting... I knew there were 1973 & 1975 plates, but I don't remember a 1974(at least with stamped in year, AFAIK all had stickers)... Makes me tempted to modify a set of 1968 plates to 1988 for my T-Bird, would be easy to fill in the 6 to make it a 8... Guess the worst is they'd refuse...

I have a new set of six digit plates complete with 1987 stickers, if the Bird were a year older I try to use those...

BTW my vintage VA plates came from a ebay seller in new Mexico, had several sets with the CCC...

Does your state require plate on the front. Our Province still requires plate on the front but are reviewing the issue. I've got a 72 plates which will be used for shows.

As for the spoiler that maybe the best fit I've seen but not for me. I think the Maverick conversion look better.

Tom, what black paint did you use on the rear panel ? It looks like the correct sheen.

Brian(seller) painted it before I bought it, I'll have to ask him...

I'm fairly sure it's something else, but Krylon semi-flat black is approx same...
