Comet hood fit Maverick latch?

What is needed to use a 75 Comet hood on a 74 Maverick?. Hood, Latch and support?, grille from Comet ?.

Anyone have pics of a Mav' with Comet hood and Maverick grille? .

this is the comet hood grill and bumper the comet hood with a maverick grill would look just wrong in my opinion

how about the rad support latch mechanism for the hood , is it in same dimensions or need to swap over the Comet latch setup?.

The handle for the hood release is longer on a Comet. The grille will need the plastic extension that bolt to the front of the standard Mav grille/latch plate/valance support. They are plastic and busted up more often then not. I have a couple that need minor repair under a bolt hole, or just use a bigger washer to bridge it.

There is a bottom plate that goes under the grille on the big bumper cars. It goes between the grille and that rubberized filler panel for the bumper. I have a really nice one here if that is on your shopping list.

My 'list' for the 75 'Comet includes donating to the '74 Maverick the disc front spindle setup, maybe the PS setup , non-rusted gas tank among other items. The Comet's donated SS chrome trim around door and rear window to the Mav' really helps the fastback /hardtop lines.

Projects but no deadlines are my goal ...
