Well, Jack and I had a great time going to Wichita Falls to see the infamous Drag-N-Fly! I must say, the car is definitely different! (I'll post more pictures sometime this weekend).
Looks very interesting with the bumper on. For some reason, I thought it would be behind the moulded part. Looking forward to hearing/seeing more about it. -Corbin
I think its one of those ugly but unique things that I would like to own. I just got too many other projects now to even consider it
Drag-N-Fly emblems Just found these in a junkyard in Florida: Two metal emblems that say DRAG-N-FLY....about 3" X 3" No car to go with them...just the emblems in a box full of Ford emblems. Did the 74 DRAG-N-FLY come with metal emblems? If not a Maverick, what car did they come on? They look just like the decal on this page: http://www.texasgrabber.com/Drag-N-Fly.html Dan
Dan: I haven't learned a whole lot more on the Drag-N-Fly since I bought the car. This is news to me. Any chance you could post a picture of the emblems? P.S. This attachment is the newest info I have found about the Drag-N-Fly. Supposedly, according to Hot Rod Magazine, it was a kit available for the cars in 1974.
I know they are rare, and therefore collectable, but they're really a hack-job and have to be one of the ugliest cars to ever exist ...
congradulations youve got the wheels to turn after 15 years (im 19). if i could lay my hands on a kit i have a few ideas involving either fiberglass or bondo......the bumper has to go tho can i get two measurements from you. hood extention and bumper extention?
I don't like the bumper on the outside but pretty much its like the old trans am kinda. I would like to have it just casue not very many other people have it. I want a one of a kind car but thats just me..
