Members: When you "add" a 4th leaf spring, where are you adding it to the stack?
Between bottom and middle, or middle and top? (Of a 3 leaf spring set-up)
    Thanks.

I ordered my 4 leaf, leaf springs new. Sat way too high due to them being new. I added a 1 1/2 inch block to the rear but I still think it sits high.

my 4 leaf not only set too high but made for a stiff ride. my Mav was too light in the rear to flex the springs, had to remove bottom leaf.
as Craig pointed out, the hight of the front springs also changes the rear.

I had/have the same "General" springs as Frank. Mine were the same situation, to high, and rode much to stiff for my taste. I rode abt 2 1/2yrs w/ them most unsatisfied w/ ride quality. Frank suggested I remove the bottom spring as he had, I followed his suggestion or otherwise those spring wud have been sold. My main complaint was the bone jarring ride, not so much concerned abt height, although it made about inch difference -- can't recall exactly how much. Removing the leaf made a significant in ride quality.
Only regret - wish I had removed the 4th. leaf a lot sooner.
Ur car sitting pretty low in front -- speed bumps/humps not a problem in ur area?

I'm assuming your talking about mine up front. It's just a tiny bit too low. I have coilovers up front so I think I'm going to raise it a 1/2 inch. I'll remove a leaf on mine.

I had 4-leaf from J.C. Whitney (which are no longer available). The car sat at the stock height but rode much too stiff.
I should have removed the bottom leaf, but instead I bought a new set of 3-leaf from ESPO. The ride is better but the rear of the car sat too high. I loved that in my younger days, but not now. I installed 1-1/2" lowering blocks to bring it down to where I like.

My 4 leafs came from ESPO. Great ride quality.

The car below had 4-leafs installed by previous owner. NO air shocks....this was just the 4-leaf springs. Rode like a buck wagon (terribly harsh ride).
