That kit gives the Mav/Com a bad name. Yuck!! An old Datsun 240 was rear ended by a grabber "REAL HARD". It is rare indeed. I hope it stays that way.
I wonder what those rear side window louvers look like up close. They are only in the old pic and not on the car.
Here are some of the louvers on a Grabber from Ohio. My Drag-N-Fly either didn't come with the louvers or they were removed before I got the car. [There is a lot of speculation as to what was "standard"]. I've seen the louvers available on eBay, but they weren't cheap. The car below was at our nationals in 2003. The owner is Jim Allen from Ohio, I believe.
hey dab can i get two measurements from you. hood extention and bumper extention? how close are the z cars and the mavericks in size?
I have seen that car a couple times....and it is truly a awesome car. I believe it was featured in the July 2003 issue of Mustang & Ford. BUT, in my opinion.....the louvers would look much better on the car if it had the rear louvers with it.
I'm sorry, but that's just BAD. And I don't mean a good kinda bad, it's a bad BAD. UGLY........... Gotta be honest.......Preston
One question??? Does it have a coffee can exhaust tip??? How about an erector set wing on the back?????
Johnson asked for some measurements. I don't have the car at home, but here is a clip from my article 2 years ago: If anyone is interested, I have attached the full article that Craig printed in our Shorthorns newsletter. Earl: The spoiler on the trunk is so heavy, the trunk lid won't stay up. It doesn't need any more weight. .
There was a company that made Ferrari body kits to go on a Pinto back in the 70's too. Looked every bit as good as that " fly" maverick does.
I wrote the article based on the information the last owner had aquired and from my observations of the Drag-N-Fly itself. This is why I say some of this is speculation.
