2-piece is the way to go. It's much easier to install, and it's the way the factory did it. It doesn't appear to be widely available though.

I have looked around on the net and I cannot find anyone who makes a 2 piece...so I thought maybe if I chimed in someone would post up. I have looked on this site too but when I look either the links are out dated or those comany's state that it is 1 piece. I am in no hurry so I have several months to look. But as always any direction would be much appreciated!

I seem to recall a two piece available on eBay.

The price for that 2 piece premium carpet is reasonable. It's worth it for the ease of install and quality of the material.
Also, they don't get the volume of business for Mavericks as they do so for Stangs, Camero's etc., "supply and demand" is the "order of the day".

After checking the receipt for my 1 piece carpets purchased, Sept. 09, 2009 for $136.00, two piece for $165.00 seems just right, considering inflation , "Made In America", and six years time span, it's a good deal.

Be sure and buy for the right year car, if you have a 69.5 tunnel is smaller. Also remember 74 and up carpet will have a bulge for the cat hump and doesn't fit 70-72 cars very well...

Well I ordered my carpet today!! I went thru all of the links and made phone calls to all of them to make sure of it being a 2 piece. Well there is only one company that I was told that makes a 2 piece and that is Trim Parts. I called a couple of the ebay links but found that calling trim parts direct was the trick. And I was able to see what my option where.

So I was hoping to get a cut pile and could have in a one piece. So I had to go with 80/20 loop which is what I was told was original anyway to get the carpet in the 2 piece. And it was about $10 less than ebay...not much but hey I am poor as it has taken me a while to save up for it. The total cost was $185....about $60 more than I thought and was hoping for.

But when I get it I will take and post some pics. It will be a few months before I actually install it as I got a few interior painting and floor shift install to do. But hope fully this will help someone who may be looking for a 2 piece carpet kit like I was.

    Ok bye

'74s didn't have cats. Probably '75-'77 carpet has the contour for the cat hump.
