I want to replace every wire in whole system including engine, interior, rear lights, etc.. Is there an already made harness out there that can do this. What is everyone using when doing a re-wire?

If you want to remove all your wiring and send to this company, they will use yours as a pattern and send you back factory correct wiring harnesses :

Unless your harness is damaged or hacked up, rarely is replacement necessary...

I've got wiring issues throughout the car. So instead of trying to track all of them down I am going to replace everything so no more worries. I'm not trying to go back to stock and have heard the Ron Francis kits are good. Anybody ever try the Painless wiring kits?

Painless is very good too. Whatever you end up with just be sure to get a few extra circuits so you have some extra room to grow later on down the road.

Good wire is not cheap and price goes up in non-linear fashion as you improve upon the quality.

I started from scratch and made my own wiring mess. It works and there are a few things I would do different, but I am happy with it compared to a kit. I have a detailed summary of what I did, and I am sure it is much cheaper than a kit, but may have it's headaches. I definitely agree with groberts101 and wish I had run extra wires for things I did not anticipate. If you are interested, send me a message and I can provide the summary (and pictures). I think I posted this about 6 months ago, so maybe you can find it that way. Good luck!

Another option my be to contact Randy at http://midlife66.com/harnesses/. He repairs/restores Mustang harnesses, as well as does a conversion for the 69-73 from the old printed circuit. He might be willing to give your harness a shot. - Matt
