    i have a 70 maverick it had a 200 cid engine I sold the motor and im purchasing a 302 it has the c4 transmission I was wondering if the c4 will bolt up to the 302 or do I need a bellhousing and converter change..thanks..

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    Yes you will need a bellhousing and a converter, as well as a flex plate for the motor.

    Your transmission might not hold up to a V-8....yours has less clutches in it. A rebuild will cure that.

    instead of dealing with finding a bell housing just go buy a newer c4 and be done otherwise your trans is going to crap out on you and youll end up doing hte same thing anyway.
    the trans for the 200 is visibly smaller than the c4 the v8 hooked up to
