I am preparing to do this mod, but it just occurred to me that the factory alternator might not be able to handle the added load of the Taurus electric fan. For the folks that have done this, is anyone using the factory alternator?

You need to upgrade the alt due to the fact that the stock alt can barely keep up to running the lights, heater fan and a decent radio all at the same time...lol.

Factory alternator does not have enough power. Upgrade to a 3g alternator. I found one in the junkyard while I was looking for my Taurus fan
