just had a question , on a 72 should the same color satin black be used on the tail light trim rings or should they be a little different , was going to use dittzler hot rod black on the back panel , just wasn't sure what the tail lights should be , I guess you could do it anyway you like but I just wondered what looks best ?

I would paint them to match. That is what I did as well. That is what the factory did.

Ok sounds good , I actually have never seen one done in person and it's hard for me to tell just looking at pictures , but the panel and lights do look good blacked out in pictures.

with the tail panel and bezels the same color...
to me the lens look like they are glued to the panel with nothing to separate the two. I went with satin black bezels.

I blacked my tail panel (in gloss rather than satin ) and polish tail light trim rings .

It looks like The bezels are a little different ? I think the bezels might look good gloss and the panel satin , do you think that is how yours was done?

This is the tail panel on a '72 Grabber that I went and picked up for a friend in Indiana last year. It is an 48K original mile, original paint car.
