Can anyone tell me if these look like the correct bucket seat tracks for a non catalytic Maverick Thank you, George
Hey, What is the difference between LDO seat tracks and Grabber seat tracks? Do the LDO seat tracks sit at a different height or angle? How does the LDO seat bottom frame differ than the 72 Grabber seat bottom frame Can LDO seat tracks be used on 1972 grabber style bucket seat set up? Ultimately I want to install 1971 Mach 1 bucket seats into my 1972 bench seat Grabber and only have these tracks, will it work out? Track mount studs line up with outer bench seat floor holes and track holes align with mount holes on under side of beat bottom frame. Anyone?
If you use LDO tracks on Standard buckets they will work .. however .. the seat height will be about 3 inches lower than factory ...
FYI ... one side of each seat should have a metal riser/spacer on the track so it sits level ... I do not see the riser in your picture. Also ... you will want to cut the adjustment handle shorter since it is much longer to accomodate the larger LDO seats. Here is a picture of my bucket that had an LDO track on it - note it is basically sitting directly on the floor and has the super long handle... I have since switched to the correct tracks.
Dan, These LDO seat tracks I have include a small bell shaped floor spacer for the front inner mounts and the longer open ended bell type floor spacer for the rear inner track mounts, is there another spacer I need? And how was the seating when you had LDO seat tracks in your red machine? Did you sit to low or was it workable?
Dan Where does this metal riser go? On top of outer seat tracks? Does it go between outer seat tracks (on top of the seat tracks) and seat bottom? Please advise Thank you, George
Here is the thread where Big Al and I discussed and swapped tracks ... I believe the inside track near the hump needs the spacers to sit level ... Perhaps the peice that I am talking about is only on the standard tracks so you should be OK with your LDO tracks ... Good Luck .. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=10055
Actually it's perfect now ... I look through the upper center of windshield when sitting in the seat. My hair doesn't touch the roof ..
Answer They weren't so bad back in high school, I could push them forward raise the backs against the dash and steering wheel and I had all kinds of room. I got Cristina in the back this past fall and couldn't even get her shoes off without fear of her kicking out a window or something! She didn't find it amusing and quickly found her way back out into the driveway. I thought that it got easier when you got older? Oh to be 17 again.
