so I rebuilt my control valve... Final stages, torquing the nylon lock nut and it strips. I chase it to see if I can get it back on the threads and the adapter shaft snaps... Anyone know where I can find a replacement?

    My luck ...

We'll I couldn't find anyone that sells the spool bolt or adapter shaft....so I got a similar bold and used a cutoff tool to made the channel the pin locks into. Then back to torquing the adjusting nut and...snap. No nylon nut this time but a flex nut and a grade 8 bolt. Bolt just snapped at 40lbs. Everything I read says this should be torqued to 90-100, then backed off a 1/4 turn. Does this have to be torqued once it's installed...I've been doing it while the valve is in a vice. Appreciate any advice from someone who has rebuild the control valve. I've been farting around with this for way too long.

Foot pounds? I believe these are supposed to be torqued in inch pounds
