The MSD (Mulitple Spark Discharge) ignition delivers a series of sparks over a longer duration rather than a single spark like the stock ignition. This enhances the combustion process which will improve your starts as well as overall performance.

Hey you got any more details on this? I'm looking at converting to electronic ignition myself and I've been reading up about keeping it cool etc so this sounds very cool.

I forgot, the builder made it out of aluminum (instead of the plexi-glass he said he was going to use).

Just imagine a flat peice of aluminum about 18" or so wide with 1/2" long lips bent @ 90 degrees (for rigidity) being mounted underneath the tray, extended all the way to the firewall.

Most of the MSD electronics are mounted on the bottom side of the plate and the EECIV is mounted on the top with the connection pointed towards the center of the car.

(still missing my camera  )

Here is a picture of the mounting plate. The front of the plate is attached to the underside of the tray.

This angle is taken from near the floorboard of the passenger's seat.

You can see how the rear of the plate is mounted in this picture (a 'shelf' was made out of 1" X 1" Al angle looks like).

And yes, there's unfinished business underneath there too I see)

Camera angle is looking from driver's side to passenger side to show the EEC on top of the plate.

(Jeez, I wish my car was still Green)

    Hope this helps.

Still have it, for more than 37 years now. I don't have a picture, if I get a chance I'll take one and post it.
