Hey guys, I am trying to find a few pictures of the 70-72 glove box door that was available for the open dash. I know they are extremely rare and am currently talking to some one who might be able to mock one up. Any and all pictures or measurements would be greatly appreciated.

They came for vehicles with and without AC. I have one for the AC equipped.

Would you mind posting any photos of it that you have?

That helps a lot! I know this is unlikely but would you be willing to sell yours?

I seem to recall JC Whitney having a similar item available back in the day too.

No William, I am planning on installing it. I might add the photos do not do it any justice in regards to quality. It looks like you could grab a corner and fold it over....NOT!...this door is heavy, made of 1/16th" steel, not tin, and the rolled ribbing on the face of it just adds to the strength.... someone prying on it will do damage to your dash and the package tray itself before they would damage the door!
The piano type hinge is "L" shaped so it can lay against the inside face and bottom of the package tray. The lockset is the same as that which was installed on the dash of the 65 Mustangs as I bought a new one to replace the one in the photo.

I'm glad to see it being used! But I did not realize how sturdy these things are, that is actually really cool! If things don't work out with the person I am talking with I might try to build one myself, I just wouldn't be able to add the ribs. Thank you for all your help!
