Hello. I have a 72 Maverick in stock configuration including the 14 inch 4 lug wheels. I like the Legendary 400's. They have a 15x6 wheel with 4x4.5 lug configuration Back spacing is listed at. 3.75 The wheel was apparently designed for the 4 lug mustangs of the 60's / early 70's. Should that wheel work for my Maverick without any spacers? I would run the Goodrich TA 205 60 15 tires. Thanks for your thoughts, Matt
Have you seen this http://www.cjponyparts.com/legendar...loss-black-machined-4-lug-1965-1973/p/W941-V/ Their is a YouTube video on that page as well
You should have 0 issues with such a narrow sizing and the limited backspacing that wheel has. Very close to factory spec's. And even if it was lowered.. the tires are also so short you will have literally 0 chance of tires scrubbing anything in their near vicinity. Well.. besides curbs. lol
Legendary Wheels was started by Scott Drake. Most all Mustang supply stores should carry this wheel. Shop by price and distance for shipping.
The front tires on mine are 195/60/15s if you want a visual reference to compare to. I will want a bit more diameter when I replace them. If you go through with this, I would be interested in seeing pictures.
