I don't know if Anyone has ever given you any suggestions or if you can afford to look into it but I have been thinking it would be Hellaciously Awwwesommme !!! :2cents: IF you could build carbon fiber sport mirror sets to use OE parts, 70-72 Maverick grilles, front and rear valances and even possibly OE dash pads. I don't own anything yet but I'm sure based on your reputation with what you already produce you know the people to make it happen and I'd bet there's other guys on here who would probably also be interested in some of these ideas as well with real funds to buy'em.

I think the cost of these items in carbon fiber would be ridiculous. I am sure Mavman would be better suited to answer.

Sure they are cool ideas and would love to see them made but dont hold your breath on having MaverickMan making them as it is more of a hobby than a business to him. Sure he likes the money but making molds for carbon fiber stuff isnt easy and is expensive and there has to be a big market for them before he will even break even. Same story goes for a lot of the other parts needed for our cars.

If you want the carbon fiber look and dont care about the weight savings or strength then just get some carbon fiber vinyl wrap and go for it

Be thankful you are able to get any sheet metal parts.

Oh I know all about hassles to have the proper molds and such made. I just curious because I thought those might be cool things to have made for our cars which are kinda universal through '77 if inclined to change back or convert the look to the older style. I know this kinda leaves Comet owners out but lol they choose to be difficult  errr I mean different.

I also know the tricks of using wraps .... have been thinking about using it for my mirrors, dash pad, and some other odds & ends too. It's a lot cheaper but not as cool & durable.

Yep.. tougher than you thought. The parts are pretty complex from a molding process standpoint. Plus.. you need to mold them separately and figure out the mounting logistics for both the car and the glass. If you want them badly enough?.. be prepared to pay out the nose. They're already out there for the Mustangs.

You could probably go to a graphics place and get a carbon fiber wrap to cover the mirrors. Would probably be cheap and easy.

Actually just going to try some of the peel & stick stuff from the parts store later on when I do the mirrors and smaller parts $20 or less for enough to play with the idea. Right now they're getting cleaned up and painted at least (y)

I have started sanding, priming, and painting them Rust-Oleum matte black and wet sanding them before another rattle can spray. I may not wrap them in a carbon fiber if I can get them to turn out nice enough with all this elbow work

I think it's a good idea, and would be cool if he could. But I understand the argument of making them ain't easy. I see both sides, but if he did make them I would buy them just saying lol

    Hell Yeeeah !!!
That is 1 thing I would spend my hard earned money on and not complain about if I could afford it. I understand the difficulty aspect and what the parts would cost finished would probably be pricey.

I think I would buy the MaverickMan carbon fiber hood before I would the Dynacorn for these 2 reasons alone ; Carbon fiber lighter weight comes complete with built in scoops and not that much more money for something pretty bad ass .... even if you paint it. Maintenance may suck on having to clean and protect it but still.

I think the grille really would be 1 of the main things ... No Other Car as far as I know of has a carbon fiber grille ... Would be Killer for the popularity of these cars and Hellaciously durable compared to the OE plastic I would think

He said he might consider a rear bumper a while back. I don't know what ever happened to that. Sport mirrors might be a good idea as well.
