large bumper to small bumper

    i posted a question awile back about converting a 73 maverick to a small bumper i have now found out the car im looking at is a 74 is it the same to do the conversion or is is it not possible to do this to a 74

    A difference in the rear bumper conversion is that 74-up need the early rear fender caps and bumper fillers (small pieces that fit under the lower part of the cap and upper part of the bumper).

    The early rear cap is shorter, and the thin bumper mounts a bit higher than the big bumper.

    you may also need to weld in the rear early bumper support brackets? maybe someone who has done a small rear bumper conversion on a '74-up can verify?

    When installing the small bumper rear valance on a 74, the plug for the license plate illumination gets covered.....or moved to a new spot behind the bumper? If anyone has a pic, I would love to see it before I add a hole to my car.

    Get some mustang reinforcement brackets for mustangs for in the trunk.and the plate lamp is mounted on bumper. Pretty easy swap.

    now would be a good time to add a rear Grabber spoiler being some of these pieces come with a 5 piece spoiler kit...:thumbs2:
