IMG_2045.JPG I got these awhile back at a swap meet and really like them. But I have been really curious what they came off of. Ranchero?

May not even be for a Ford engine, if they are, no doubt aftermarket...

No ford V8 motor since the 272/292/312 Y blocks lacked bolt holes around the perimeter...

They are for a 302, I do not know if they are aftermarket though. The top bolts are very long and are just above the steer head.

OH yeah, I see now... Definitely Aftermarket...

I don't even remember factory covers with Mustang on them, chances Ford had a Ranchero specific cover is zero and none...

Only specific factory valve covers I can think of are the aluminum with snake 428 Cobra Jet type... Those were introduced on middish year '69 SCJ cars whether engine was installed in Mustang, Torino, Ranchero or even Cyclone, Cougar etc... Std CJ cars used same cast cover without snake and Cobra Jet lettering... The '68 & early '69 428 CJ all used chrome Power by Ford covers...

Thank you, that is really good information. I bet you are right about them being aftermarket. They are similar to a lot of other styles, I just have never seen any with that emblem.

No it is bolted to the top of the valve cover.

They look like Edelbrock "elite" valve covers. But I don't remember the corners being squared off for the Windsor motors.
