He had it posted in the "For Sale" section and has "bumped" it three times. I presume that is why he posted it here. It is a nice car.
I would say $1500 is a good price. Since the odometer turns over at 5 digits there is no way that I know of to prove that it hasn't turned over
I talked to this guy awhile back and he knew the original owners; apparently they passed away and left him the car, so, I'd say that the miles are actual. My only thing with it is it doesn't have A/C and power brakes. P/B wouldn't be much of an issue because unlike the earlier Mav/Comets that car already has the holes in the firewall for power brakes. (You can actually see that in the pictures he has posted. A/C on the other hand; brackets, compressor, dash changes, lines, etc. I'd say considerable work.) Plus, the front seat has a tear in it and would need to be recovered. I'd say black would be easy to match. The rest of the interior looks good. He wanted $3000.00. I could buy a good used Crown Vic for not much more than that price. You think $1500.00 is a good price? Craig.
I talked to the guy about the car. It is (was) in Pittsburgh. I didn't have the money at the time or I would have bought it. I guess you could still call the guy. It is a 4-door and it has some rust on it. Also, it had been outside since the previous owner had died some 3 years earlier. And that was 5 years ago. He wanted $3,000.00 at that time. It just has a 250 and power steering and automatic transmission and an AM Philco radio. . .Not really a desirable model. You might try calling the guy, but, I'd bet it is gone by now. JMHO. Craig.
PM me and I will give you the phone number I have. He sent it to me in a private message years ago. Good luck. Craig.
I started a conversation with you. You should have the information. Post back if you don't. Good luck. Craig.
Hi Craig, I looked in Conversations. I see the one I tried to start with you (KYF350); but I don't see the one you sent me. Please advise. Thanks
Look again. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I am NOT computer savvy. Apparently, I didn't save what I typed in the conversation. Sorry about that. Craig.
The guy told me that the car belonged to a neighbor of his and died. Then he bought the car from the estate, or something like that. The car looks fairly clean, but, anything is possible. Craig.
