Those are nice, the previous owner made something similar, but not as effective. Basically round bar stock hammered flat on both ends and bolted in...

the booster is a 7" one from ebay, aftermarket, streetrod style. The M/C is from a 89 mustang. Turns out I didnt like how the M/C worked and replaced it with an original style.

The OE MC provided better braking than the Stang MC? Did u have to modify the pushrod and what effect did it have on the brake sw activation?

The aftermarket booster comes with a threaded rod, I add a threaded nut with about 2" of the original rod welded to that nut. Thats the pedal heigth adjustment.

Thanks for the pic! U have better results w/ the OE type mc? How much clearance between the end of the mc and the shock tower? Used the OE prop. valve? 4 whl disk on the car? This is something I need to take a serious look at!

Everett.....I couldnt get a satisfactory pedal feel with the mustang MC, I would have to raise the pedal to a height that was hard for me to get my foot to, it just took to much pedal to get the car to stop. I love the looks of that mustang MC but it didnt work for me, I went back to the factory MC and all is good, must be a different diameter between the MC'ers. My car has the maverick disc on front and drum on the rear, and I am using the stock 4-wheel drum proportioning valve, I like how it works now. There is a little more than 1/4" between the shock tower and the MC.

I think I will go this route. Use my current manual brake pedal, fit one of those 7" boosters, and buy a new MC. Then if I want to install an export brace, no problem. No need to hunt down some factory gizmos...use what I got and be done. Thank you!

I think that's a good plan. The factory power brake set up was an afterthought anyway. There are better options available now.

Yep, thats it. Yes, new holes need drilled, inside on the pedal support as well. Its kinda a pita but well worth the effort.
