Hi everyone. I'm trying to put a set of ET slot mags on my 73 comet. I bought them online from a guy that said he had them on his maverick. I have drum brakes. I had to buy lug nuts. I got offset washers and from what I can see from trying to get them on car I need the centered washers instead. Also the center bore on these ET mags are much bigger than my original steel wheels. I measured the center bore on the ET mags at about 3 1/8. Is this too big? Do I have wrong wheels for my car? It also looks like even with centered washers the studs might be a tight fit too get all lugs nuts started.

The studs and holes should have a tight fit, this is the only way to get the wheels centered with the old aluminum wheels.

get a set of centric rings, you will be glad you did, only way to center rims with larger bore properly

I had et IV on mine the holes were slotted to fit different patterns..the offset washers made it fit different bolt patterns you had to flip the washers to match your bolt pattern I used tapered lug nuts
