Anyone Got an extra 200 they need to get rid of? My brother wants to replace the ailing 200 that is in his 77 mav(daily driver for now you see) and he doesnt have 1800 bucks to score a reman from jasper just now. I hear people are swapping out 302s and having trouble gettin' rid of their old sixers so if you need to get one off your hands i may be your man. I'm located in Austin Texas but there was talk of a possible road trip so who knows! Make me an offer!
I have a 200 I took out of a 71 Mav which only has about 48000 miles. It's sitting inside my garage and was running perfect when it was taken out about 5 years ago. It is complete all the way to the carb and breather and I would take $100 for it. It would have to be a local pickup only as I would not be interested in trying to ship it. Where do you think your road trip might be taking you?

swap, maybe? I have one that i'll swap for a 302, but somehow, I have this gut feeling that you don't have one. I am in College Station, TX though, only a nice 1.5-2 hrs away! If you make the right offer, i might (i repeat might... can't hurt to ask, though) part with mine. I'm reworking my mav, and it's not my daily driver, so i could possibly go without an engine for awhile...
I can't give a very good asessment of the condition because I didn't keep it running after I got the car. It had a horrible exhaust leak that I didn't want to fix because I was planning on junking it anyway. It did run, and seemed to have enough power for a 200, but the exhaust leak stunk like hell and made it sound like a tractor, so I only drove it around the block once or twice and that was it. I didn't keep it because I thought somebody might get some use out of it, I just never had an opportunity to toss it.
It's possible. It is presently sitting in a '76 Mav that is really only fit to be a parts car. I do have someone thinking about that car, though. Come down this Sunday afternoon and hear it run.

Posat is alittle old but, I just brought home a 72 Mav. with a running 200 in it. I'll be pulling it out to put in a 302 sometime but if interested let me know. I'm in Charlotte NC clint
