That was pretty cool, don't think it had a stock motor. Next question, anybody know what he was saying?
He was saying, "If these dang tires would grip and quit trying to crawl under the cross member on these turns, I would take it for more than one lap......but I love the way it burns off and does donuts."
I think it more believable if...he wore a helmet and there weren't so many road level shots of the grille...JMO
At the beginning of the Video, Bardhal is in the back ground just before get into the maverick. I looked it up, it's and oil additive company. He is in Brazil somewhere. I thought I heard "Quattro" a few times,( that's as high as I can count in Spanish) so he just might have been talking about the grip on all Four tires.
Hmmmm..... hood pins and the way the car sits suggests to me that car has a few mods. I think it has at least a spring upgrade front and rear. I expected a lot more body lean. Stiffer springs were the handling trick before much better sway bars came into play. 1973 .... probably bias belted tires. Michelin was the only company that was commonly selling radials at that time. If you look really close, the car starts with whitewall tires, at least on the passenger side, and it finishes with blackwalls all around. Hmmmmm.......
This is a 1973 that also has small front bumper and engine ID emblems under the maverick on front fenders, my guess it's likely a Brazilian version...
if it's going as fast as it appears... it also starts with...one wheel peel and ends with both tires spinning.
Once a equilibrium in traction is reached both tires will turn even with a peg leg rear... Guess you never air bagged or put 75psi "extra" in the RR air shock to to compensate for a open rear???
