Hey, I knew a guy once that had a 510 and he put in one of those 215" V8 aluminum Buick/ Olds/ Pontiac motors, put a set of minilite wheels on it, and painted it like one of the old Bob Sharp/ Paul Neuman Z cars. Had steel fender flares and front air dam the guy built as well as a really neat set of headers. Looked very, very cool.

So true. I will say one thing though, I was talking to a guy today and we started talking cars, and his has a 1974 Grand AM, and found out that I had a Maverick, and he said how much he can appreciate them because not everyone has one, and when you goto cars show etc. it's the same old same old. So, he could appreciate something different. (y)

It's that the truth!!! If you haven't been on the board for several days at a time, instead reading each thread for the most part like I use to, I find myself just skimming the thread titles and picking and choosing what to read. :smash: A lot times I don't even do that anymore. Lots of activity around here for sure! (y)

In my case, I've had my car since 1977 and I finally got a computer I found this place and I told a friend(y) and he told a friend(y) who told another friend:bananaman and with each of us doing this is it any wonder this place is growing like it is:eek: I finally figured out I wasn't the only one that enjoyed these cars and wasn't afraid to stand up and say," My name is Darrell Smith and I own a MAVERICK"
