I just ordered the Borgenson Power Steering Pump (800330) and the shim kit (899001).

From what I understand I need to add about 3 shims to get it to the right spot.

The pressure connection on the pump is a 5/8”-18 thread, inverted flare connection.... does everyone running this pump have hoses made or is there an adapter that someone makes?

    Thanks for the help.

I just installed this pump, with the stock power steering pressure line I did not have to run an adapter out of the pump

Yes, you will need another 1/4 inch added with the spacers they come with

I had to add 3 shims to the two shipped in the pump. I also added 1/4" shims to the front bolts of the UCA to get the steering wheel to return to center AND track correctly. Some folks using this setup say they didn't have to shim the UCA's , but I could not get recommend caster Borg states to get system working properly. Once I did what I have outlined here --- system works very well.
I ordered the hose kit from Borg, but they are really to short. I have the return hose on the car but had hose made 6" longer for pressure line. If I have any reason to remove the return I am going to have custom line made for it. I am thinking the connections on the back of the pump are 17mm IIRC.

    Hi MoJo :
Been reading posts .. If you need a hose lemmeno .. I have a hydraulic hose kit for our cars and if you need a
special length hose maybe I could help. I would have to know which ' ENDS ' the hose requires , AND the actual
finished length ( including the fittings ) . We did the PS and the ACs with this tool and it works great.
If you ' Clock ' the fittings and MARK them so they could be ' aligned ' we could help you out here.
